(Co-Designing Circular Waste Solutions)
The Smart Taka Hub Project introduces an integrated, community-driven model that
combines digital innovation, participatory geospatial mapping, and circular economy
practices to transform waste management systems in Morogoro Municipality. The solution
addresses critical gaps in data availability, inefficient service delivery, low community
engagement, and the under-utilization of waste as a resource. By linking technology with
community action and green enterprise development, the project creates a holistic system
that improves environmental outcomes while generating economic opportunities.
